“If the end result of this is better trading relationships with all of these countries, particularly if it happens sooner rather than later, I think it would be great,” McConnell said.
“I won’t lie, Amazon getting into your space always makes you take notice,” Rellas said. “You have to be really good at what you do. They are a company with infinite investment horizon. I’m not going to sit here and pretend we’re just going to go out and kill Amazon. We’re going to do our best to defend our position as a leader in what we’re doing around the country. But they’re the biggest e-commerce company in the world.”

“I think not all of the effects of the company on the world are for the best,” he says. “I wish it weren’t so, but I had something to do with bringing it into existence. It’s partly on me.”
“At the end of the day, with any technology, whether you’re talking about facial recognition technology or anything else, the people that use the technology have to be responsible for it,” he says. “And if they use it irresponsibly they have to be held accountable.”
